The Trust and Safety Research Conference

The Stanford Tech Impact and Policy Center will host the fifth annual Trust and Safety Research Conference on October 1-2, 2026 at Stanford University. The conference brings together trust and safety researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, civil society, and government to advance research in trust and safety while fostering the exchange of ideas across various disciplines, including computer science, communication, policy, law, and political science. Registration for the 2026 Trust & Safety Research will open in June.

 

Dates and Deadlines

  • June 1, 2026: Applicants notified if their proposed presentation is accepted
  • June 1, 2026: Journal of Online Trust and Safety deadline for commentaries
  • June 10, 2026: General registration opens (early bird pricing)
  • July 16, 2026: Conference ticket prices increase
  • October 1-2, 2026: Trust & Safety Research Conference
